REF Table for Delta Agricultural Diversion Evaluation, Juvenile & Adult Fish Sampling for 1992, 1993 & 1994.

1) GEAR TYPES USED AT SAMPLING SITES (STATIONS):

*NETS:
Fyke-type net made of 1/8-inch delta-type mesh. The net was secured directly
over the outfall pipe sampling 100 percent of the flow, emptying into a
wooden live-box.

Winged fyke-type nets made of 1/8-inch delta-type mesh (1m x 1m and
1m x 1.5m). The net was set at the head of the ditch sampling 100 percent
of the flow, emptying into a soft mesh live-box or the end was tied off.

Fyke-type net made of 1/8-inch delta-type mesh. The net was secured to the
outfall pipe by a wooden track sampling 100 percent of the flow, emptying
into a small or large cod end.

*FLOWMETERS:
A Ketema McCrometer, model M0300 propeller flowmeter with flow indicator
reading in cubic feet per second (cfs) and totalizer reading in acre feet
(AF) located on the siphon or discharge line was used to obtain water
diversion data at study sites 1, 2 and 4.

A Marsh-Mcbirney, Inc. model 2000 flowmeter placed in the opening of the
effluent at the mouth of the net to determine velocity.

A general Oceanics, model 2030 digital flow meter mounted in the mouth of
the egg & larval net measured flow through the net in cubed meters (m3)
sampled.
